Navigation Level 3 - Including night nav

Service Description

This course starts at 9am with a meet and greet. We then spend the day out on the Longmynd practising advanced navigation techniques such as micro navigation, walking on bearings, attack points, aiming off, search and rescue patterns and resections. We return to Womerton Campground at around 3pm to set up camp, eat and rest, before leaving camp at 8pm for approximately 6 hours of night navigation. Night navigation is an important skill to learn as it prepares you for navigating at night, but it also simulates poor visibility conditions and forces you to navigate using map and compass and the skills you will learn on the course. Once we return to camp at around 3am the course is officially over and everyone can get some sleep. The camping fees are included in the course. This course does not include food so please bring your own meals, camping equipment etc. Please be prepared for adverse weather conditions and consult the kit list on the website for this course. Head torches are a must. Rechargeable torches are fine so long as you have a battery powered one too as back up with spare batteries.

To cancel your booking and receive a full refund or be offered a place on the next course you must notify us no later than 14 days prior to the course beginning. Some courses carry a none refundable deposit irrespective of time frame. Please contact us if you need any further information.
